
Shana Chandra is a freelance writer from Aotearoa of Indo-Fijian and Girmitiya descent, currently based in France, who works within the magazine and digital publishing industries world-wide. Engaging with fashion, art, design and culture, she creates critical and innovative features, alongside her editors.
Having completed her Masters of Arts in Creative Writing at the University of Technology in Sydney, she is also an accomplished fiction writer and her soon-to-be-published debut novel, Banjara, is a fictional re-telling of her ancestors' journey from India to Fiji as indentured labourers.
